I like Elliot. And I think the hate he gets for the boat scene is unwarranted. It happens after the bouquet, at max relationship levels (so you're boyfriend and girlfriend). Normally, people force seggs after first date but Elliot is bad because he kissed the farmer? He doesn't even hate you if you say it wasn't ok, he apologizes.

I personally just don't see the characters with colourful hair as romantic, it never matches how I want to make my own farmer and they have to look cute together. 🤷‍♀🤷‍♀

hi hello, I'm late to the party but hear me out; I personally don't think George is being a grump becasue he wants to, but as a trauma response from loosing his legs (I think he lost them I honestly forgot despite my 700+ hour in the valley lol) I really do think that he is deeply depressed from the trauma he received back then, both mentally and physically, and anybody have had trauma mentally can state that healing from that is not as easy as healing a wound on the arm or something. I see George as been miserable because he never truly healed from the mine accident. I don't think he purposely is being mean to anyone, but because he is still hurting. And as I've learned along the way. People who hurt, will hurt others. And I think Evelyn sees through that whole façade and really tried to show him that she really loves him, and show him that life is still worth it, even if he don't think so. I never thought there was an affir and I still don't. I simply think that George is a broken man, who's still stuck in the mines because he never truly healed and at this point don't know how too anymore. That's my take on it, you asked and I replied. xD Good theory tho. Just don't see it happening.

Plausible theory. We never hear about "our" actual grandma. Only grandpa. The picture is clearly a picture of Evelynn. What if it happened when George had the accident? He must have been in hospital for quite a while to be brought back to somewhat good condition.

I think it makes sense that when you unlock a new skill, you can still use the previous skills but not sell anything gained from that skill. That would solve the combat/mining issue you were talking about earlier: you could do mining first (just make sure to run away from enemies and not kill any of them), and then once you complete mining you can go into combat while still being able to break rocks to get around. Besides, it seems like the rules of the challenge so far have been mostly defined by experience, and once you get a skill to lvl 10 any experience gained after that won’t make a difference. So I say that sounds like a good plan! If it feels like it’s getting too easy towards the end, you could always change it so you only use the last skill you completed instead of all of them.

I think there's one line of dialogue where George mentions Evelyn's name, at my second egg festival. George said something along the lines of "Evelyn made eggs and leek for breakfast, so I'm in a good mood." while smiling. I don't know if that changes things much. I might've also misremembered, and he could've referred to Evelyn as "wife".

So the scene with Penny and George, here's why most of you are wrong. I've been a CNA for a brief period and it's one of the reasons I'll never be a nurse. Old people like George are like children, and are quick to anger or complaining about life, it's a maturity thing you either develop or lose over time. Yes of course Penny could have just asked George if he wanted to help but in the end she did the right thing, which is why George feels guilty afterwards. Life is all about staying positive and George chose to overreact. There are plenty of other elderly folks who would have easily said, "Oh my, thank you, I might have been here all morning...or after dark :D Thanks!" however in the real world this is a lesson to not become the grouchy old miserable man George has become, his life may not be perfect and the mining accident was a tragedy, but again this is no excuse for poor behavior when someone goes out of their way to make your day better or easier, because at the end of the day, all we have is each other, and way too many people overreact, get angry, and just in general attack others emotionally. These are all excuses we make for people who may be upset, but that isn't our fault. Penny has an alcoholic mother and lives in a trailer, does she choose to be hateful? No. Penny chooses to put her faith in others and chooses a life of positivity, something that is hard to do when all others around you do is complain and make life more difficult by being rude and hateful. Penny did nothing wrong and there's a reason you get friendship points by saying that was a nice thing you did and don't lose any friendship points with George over this trivial matter. Best wishes to everyone, and I hope this makes sense, because again, if we don't even have faith in each other, what's the point of trying to improve or make the world we live in a better place?
